‘The Library, Stevenstone’ comes from a suite of five prints published by the Penfold Press in which Ed explores some of his favourite Landmark Trust buildings. The prints were originally exhibited as part of Ed’s successful Yorkshire Sculpture Park show Ed Kluz: Sheer Folly – Fanciful Buildings of Britain.
“I’ve admired the work of the Landmark Trust and the buildings in their care for a long time. Their fanciful forms are often theatrical or possess a powerful sense of the past. There seems to be a never-ending source of buildings to depict. Their sensitive restorations and revivals allow buildings to speak and function as living structures - in some ways this is akin to the motivation behind my pieces.”
