Jonny Hannah's Shipbuilders and Fisherfolk

Here's a few photos from Friday night's official opening of Jonny Hannah's latest exhibition Shipbuilders and Fisherfolk. Celebrating the town and people of Hartlepool the exhibition runs at the town Art Gallery from June through to November so there's plenty of time to get up there and see some truly amazing and inspiring work.

   

 

Also included in the exhibitions is the print Boy and Bicycle. Jonny worked on the print here at the Penfold Press and based it on an early short film of the same name by a young Ridley Scott. Jonny describes the short film as "La Nouvelle Vague meets Teeside cinema verite."
